Song of the Black Death

THE SONG OF THE BLACK DEATH
“White magic, black magic intertwined in chaos
When wizards join the two, they will betray us
Forty-two cast their spells using their breath
This combined force summons the Black Death
Twenty-one locks opened and fell to the ground
Nayeria slithered through the gate to hunt us down
Her bite is poisonous, will turn your skin black
Only the brave can defeat her and send her back
White magic, black magic intertwined in chaos
When wizards join the two, they will betray us.”
The woodland fairies of the Emerald Forest sing various songs of lore passed down for generations. Children like to laugh and play games while chatting about the song of the Black Death. They give no thoughts to the meaning of the words. A common belief is that this song about a young beast, also known as Nayeria is only a made-up story.
Until on a sunny April afternoon a young fairy named Darli was found lying near the Chunky River. She had bite marks and her skin was slowly turning black.
An adult fairy named Oxwen was the one who found Darli. Picking her up he whispered, "Hang in there my friend. I will get you help." In his mind he thought, "I will kill who ever did this to you."
In midair on the way to the healers Darli exhaled her last breath. Oxwen pressed her body closer to his heart and let out a howl that summoned all the fairies.
The leader of the fairies called, The Ever summoned Shaman Lumos who in turn sent for the other wizards living in the Emerald Forest.
The wizards called for warrior Kathleen who brought the jadeites warriors and their familiars.
When all had been gathered a plan was made to find Nayeria and send her back.
Using her ability to become invisible, Nayeria watched from a short distance. She was forming her own wicked plan. In her head she thought, "first thing I will do is stop the wizards' power. The look on their faces when they see the strength I gained from Darli's blood. Hmmm...it would also be fun to kill them one at time. Should I start with the wizards? The familiars would be easier. That green frog would look good black. She lifted up her head and slithered down the path until she couldn't see anyone. Plucking a black feather out she laid it on the path, and hissed, "Let the games begin."
