The Twin Fates of Light and Shadow — Beezle and Numerius
In the annals of the Eternal Realms, two names echo through the clash of ages — Beezle Executor of the Alley, and Numerius Hero of Wizards. They are opposites in every sense: night and dawn, ruin and rebirth, vengeance and virtue. Yet destiny, in its cruel artistry, bound their legacies as one.
Beezle Executor of the Alley
From the ashen ruins of the Shadow Marches rose Beezle, clad in black steel and sorrow. Once a mere enforcer among thieves, he was transformed when he forged a pact with the dying god of twilight. The pact granted him dominion over the Realm of Shadows, and his soul was forever entwined with his onyx panther, Nocthra. Together they moved unseen, dealing swift justice to tyrants and corrupt lords who preyed upon the forgotten.
Yet Beezle’s mercy was a blade’s edge. His wrath, when unleashed, could flatten cities and drown armies in dusk. To his people — the exiled, the broken, the enslaved — he was salvation incarnate. To the kingdoms above, he was the harbinger of oblivion. His falchion, Verruk, whispered curses of every soul it devoured, feeding his hunger for dominance.
Numerius Hero of Wizards
In the dawnlit heart of the Eternal Realms, where the veil between mortal and celestial trembles, there walks a warrior whose very name is spoken as both vow and benediction — Numerius, Hero of Wizards. Clad in shimmering azure armor and bearing the blue fey blade Aurealis and his gleaming buckler of truth, Numerius stands as the radiant bulwark against the creeping stain of otherworldly corruption.
Numerius was revered as a guardian of balance, a protector of realms against otherworldly corruption. He healed cities Beezle destroyed, rebuilt hope where despair lingered, and led the charge in wars that kept the darkness at bay. To many, he was the living embodiment of divine justice — radiant, unwavering, and incorruptible.
The Clash of Dawns
Inevitably, their paths collided — not as enemies of flesh, but of philosophy. Beezle sought freedom through fear, believing that only destruction could cleanse the rot of the world. Numerius sought salvation through order, believing that peace demanded restraint and light.
Their battle raged across the veil of realms — the skies torn between blazing azure and endless black. The falchion Verruk met the star-blade Aurealis, and from their clash was born the Storm of Fates, a tempest that neither victor nor vanquished survived.
When the storm cleared, Beezle’s shadow and Numerius’s light were gone, but their legends endured. The destitute still pray to Beezle’s memory in whispers; the righteous still swear oaths upon Numerius’s name.
And somewhere between dusk and dawn, when light falters and darkness breathes, one might still hear the echo of two warriors —
the shadow that fought for freedom, and the light that fought for peace.
