Nayeria

The fairies sing the sad song of the black death, the beast called Nayeria. A young beast who can become invisible.

The gossip beetles tell stories about her but no one listens.

She can only hatch if the gate to the Seventh Realm is open for a period of time. It is the air from the Runiverse which triggers her to hatch out of her egg.

Each time she is sent back to the Seventh Realm she becomes an embryo again. Waiting inside her egg for the gate to be reopened. Waiting to hatch, kill, and grow. She has never reached full maturity of twenty feet tall. 

Half of her is a black bird and the bottom half is a snake. When her beak opens up a snake tongue will lunge at you dripping with poison. If bitten by her fangs the victim's body begins to instantly decay and turn black while Nayeria sucks the blood out.

A hundred years ago she slithered through The Gate of the Seventh Realm as a hatchling and grew. While they slept Eleven wizards were bitten during this time period. Most died immediately but a couple survived through the night only to die when the sun tried to warm their skin. It is a mystery how she got back to the Seventh Realm.

In current times, on a April morning the gate to the Seventh Realm was re-opened. Nayeira began to develop inside her egg. Several days later she slithered into the world unseen with the Kitsune beast. The killings began as she traveled. When she reached the Emerald Forest a young woodland fairy named Darli was found by the Chunky River with her skin black.

A group of wizards have gathered to try to force her back behind the gate. Casper, Shaman Lumos, Solomon, Zane are leading this charge.
If they fail, we are all doomed.
