The Gate to the Seventh Realm

On the eastern edge of the Valley of the Gnostics rises the Gate to the Seventh Realm, a towering structure of lapis stone banded in gold. Its walls are lined with reliefs of golden beasts, their forms gleaming even beneath the dark of the crescent moon. At its center stands a great arched door, barred with twenty-one golden Locks, each set in ordered rows.
Above the arch, a triangular pediment bears the All-Seeing Eye, flanked by two lesser pyramids, the Triad of the Illuminatus gazing outward. Though wrought by the ancients, the Gate shows no weathering; time itself seems forbidden to touch it.
It is said the Gate may only be opened through the harmony of forty-two wizards, each bearing a consecrated Key. No single hand or partial gathering can stir the Locks; they answer only to the full chorus, the Keys united in one accord of will and word.
Beyond lies the Seventh Realm, domain of the Legendary Beasts. Though their Masters in the material plane exert the faintest leash, the beasts presence in the world brings only devastation.
