The Elysian Fields, home to the fabled ponies, are bound by ancient pacts to the primal Elements.
Aligned with the element of Earth, lying east upon the Elysian Fields, reveals a sun-dappled woodland of colossal, ancient roots that arc over glades and burrow through meadows. The soil glows faintly at night, and tiny star-like fungi cluster at the bases of the roots, giving the grove its name.
Massive rune-marked stones rise from the earth like half-buried titans, humming with a low, mineral song that can be felt through the soles of one’s feet. Between them rest ponds so still they seem to hold their breath, reflecting the canopy and sky as if unwilling to break their mirrored illusion. Travelers who linger claim to hear faint heartbeats through the roots, steady and slow, as though the land itself dreams.
From this cradle of proliferation and stone rose the Pony of Earth, guardian and keeper of the western fields, as through grown from the ancient stone and soil itself.
