Midnight Spiders
These spiders have pink eyes and are dark brown but appear black from a distance. At night, the light of the moon and stars makes them glow.
Travelers have gone to sleep on the east side of the Chunky River in the darker parts of the Emerald Forest, unaware of what was lurking near them. They leave quickly when they are awakened by the brightness of thousands of spiders crawling around.
The midnight spiders are venomous. The poison will make your muscles stiffen as rigid as a board. If bitten by only one or two a human can survive. If bitten by many it means a painful death.
