Dragonhead caterpillars

These caterpillars are found through out the Emerald Forest in the Spring.

The Dragonhead caterpillars appear to have a flame coming out their mouths but it is only their red tongue. They like to eat anything green and crunch loudly with their mouths open.

Warrior Kathleen protects them from being taken because their silk is not only soft but has a the scent of chamomile.

When they come out of their chrysalis they become the Whisper Butterflies.
