Giant Sloths
The giant sloths can be found in the dense flora on the east side of the Iota Path in the Emerald Forest. Their dark brown fur blends in with the massive, shredded hickory trees, making them difficult to see. It is as if they appear and disappear at will. Giant sloths are about twice the size of a normal man, but some have been known to grow three times larger.
They are curious creatures, and if you are not careful, they will grab you and hold you for hours — sometimes even days — with their long claws, often gazing at you with big smiles while you try to escape … or die.
When it is cold, the woodland fairies from the Hickory fairy family will burrow into the fur of the giant sloths to keep warm. These fairies also help take care of the giant sloths.
Warrior Kathleen is not afraid of these creatures and will hang down from a branch above them and rub the tops of their heads. When the sloths are happy they make a cooing sound.
